We are living through a pandemic affecting our youth’s mental and emotional health, since Covid19 took the world by surprise in 2020. Lack of routine, more screen time, less social encounters, more isolation, constant access to food and uncertainty greatly affects our children’s body image.

Moreover, body dissatisfaction is now recognised as a public health concern, associated with increased rates of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, unhealthy weight control behaviours and Eating Disorders.

This is why I support caretakers and schools wishing to instill a positive body image in their children.
